Preparation Materials
Sample questions are provided by the Victoria Police and ACER which can assist you to improve your language and literacy skills. They can be found in the Candidate Information Booklets which are available for free from this website. The sample questions will provide candidates with an understanding of the content, style and structure of the examination.
It is recommended that you attempt these questions to identify areas needing development, then continue practicing to improve your results. You may choose to complete the sample questions several times to become familiar with the types of questions you will encounter in the exam. It is also a good idea to time yourself so you become familiar with time constraints.
VICTORIA POLICE - ONLINE PRACTICE TESTS:
ACER provides full-length, timed, online practice tests for the eight components of the Victoria Police Entrance Exam:
- Literacy
- Numeracy
- Abstract Reasoning
- Verbal Reasoning
- Summary Writing
- Extended Writing
- Oral Communication
- Digital Literacy
The Online Practice Tests includes one sample test for each component. These tests match the display and computer functionality of the live assessment, with questions similar in design and difficulty to those included in the final exam
Online Practice Tests can be purchased individually or as a set at the time of registration, or after you have completed your exam booking. These practice tests are only available to candidates who book an exam.
The Literacy, Numeracy, Abstract Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Computer Skills practice assessments provide scored, timed test experiences. The Summary and Extended Writing assessments, and the Oral Communication assessment are provided as unscored experiential practice assessments.
Multiple attempts are permitted, however the tests contain one set only. The cost of the full set is $88.00 (GST incl)
