The Victoria Police Entrance Examination is made up of eight (8) sections. All sections of the test except the Summary and Extended Writing will be conducted online, using a computer. All candidates planning to sit the Victoria Police Entrance Examination will be required to register and attend an Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) test centre.

To be selected for progression to the next stage of the Victoria Police recruitment process, candidates must obtain a score at or above the pass marks listed in the table above.

*Please note that these scores reflect a new format for the literacy and numeracy components of the entrance exam which will be implemented from 1 January 2019. These changes will result in no change to the standard of the exam, it is purely an update/new format. Candidates sitting exams BEFORE 1 January 2019 should refer to the relevant Candidate Information Book for details on their test components, timing and pass marks.

**These assessments are scored against The Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) - the Australian standards for adult literacy and numeracy. A score of 111 or greater is equal to Exit level 3 of the ACSF. A score of 105 translates to just below ACSF Exit level 3.
